Shoes nowadays are designed so that running, jumping and side to side movement being called by the game would ensure great swiftness and dexterity all the time without compromising the stability and wellbeing of the player. Darrien Pinkman said that oftentimes, players call for different kinds of shoes to fit their performance best. The trend in using white shoes in basketball was changed when Michael Jordan signed a contract with Nike who was on the verge of losing. He started wearing red, white and black shoes which captivated other players in the team. This led though to Jordan’s paying heavy fines every game for not complying with the all-white normal league rules. Due the improved performance of this design, this fashion was adapted by other players. Nike never thought that this would be the start of their business recovery – now they are the producer of the finest and vastly regarded basketball shoes in the field of sports.
Darrien Pinkman being a big name in basketball himself believes that basketball shoes will continue to change as the game changes.
